A huge frustration solved

Flexible pipes

Stabicad makes it easy to draw flexible pipes in Revit

Anyone who has ever tried to draw flexible pipes in Revit knows that this can lead to great frustrations. It's a time consuming job that usually results in pipes moving in all directions except the one you want. It is by all means one of the most heard annoyances of modeling in Revit. Fortunately this is over with the new feature: Stabicad Flexible Pipes!

With Stabicad Flexible Pipes, Stabiplan introduces a completely new way of drawing flexible pipe systems for water and central heating. The path of the system can be changed without affecting the other parts. Modelling with flexible pipes becomes as easy as drawing with rigid, non-flexible, systems. But there is more within this new, powerful feature. The smart PLS files (product line sheets with all relevant data) also contain Stabicad Autorouting, which automatically places tees and reducers. You can override the bend radius to smoothen the path of the system. And you can calculate the total length of pipes; select a part of the system or choose your entire system, and report the total length of the pipes with a schedule.

In addition, flexible drawing now also works vertically, in elevation views. Sanitary appliances and radiators can be connected to piping systems at once using the node solver and the Revit function 'connect into'.

 All benefits in brief:

  • Flexibles will no longer slow down your projects;
  • Tees and reducers are automatically placed;
  • Draw directly in elevation views;
  • Connect plumbing fixtures and radiators at once;
  • Report the total length of the pipes with a schedule.

Note: to use the new Stabicad Flexible Pipes feature, you’ll need at least Stabicad for Revit version 11.02.
